	This Male Merlin Falcon came to the Wildlife Center around 2002 when he was hit by a car and suffered a badly fractured wing. The Center did what they could for him but he lost part of his wing and will never fly again :( He has a Great personality and is a huge Ham with the public during their education programs. The Merlin is still a wild bird and not a pet. It is illegal for indigenous wild birds to be kept in captivity without special permits from the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service.
