Aug. 26, 2007 This is a Crow with white on it and we can not figure out why?  Does anyone have any pictures of a Crow with white?  Does anyone know what may have caused the white? This crow was spotted  in Sunset Sands, Ocean Park Washington By Lisa Gillespie

Western-Tanager
Spotted in a local (Ocean Park) yard.

Not really a new sighting but well worth looking into!

This is truly amazing. Be sure to click on NEXT PAGE at the bottom of each page; there are 5 pages in all. A lady found a hummingbird nest and got pictures all the way from the egg to leaving the nest. Took 24 days from birth to flight. Because you'll probably never in your lifetime see this again, enjoy; and please share.

The photography is wonderful.

Friday the 26th of January, 2007

Mr. and Mrs. Lindberg rescued the Pie Billed Grebe.  The Lindbergs are our local rescue triage folks.  The little Grebe was entangled in something like a net and it only had a soft tissue injury to its ankle.  It is doing just fine and will be fine.

Thank you to all that found it, and made telephone calls for the rescue process.

08/2006 Marilyn Caswell recently found an injured Spotted Owl sitting beside Sandridge Road just North of Clark’s Nursery.  Sitting at about 18 inches tall, Marilyn thought she saw something and turned around to make sure, and sure enough there was an owl. An injured eye seemed to make the Owl responsive to being picked up and transported to the Wildlife Rehab Center , via the Lindberg family.  We will report the progress and pictures as soon as we can.

2 Eagle sightings this morning.  Coming back from Astoria after coming around the first curve after the bridge, there they were.  2 eagles down at the water’s edge.

No place to pull over and take a picture.  J

April 2006 This hummingbird was found on Marilyn and Bob Caswell's East veranda!  It appears to be young and may have fallen out of the nest or flew into the sliding door.  Marilyn picked it up and kept it with her for about 4 hours before she took it back outside and it flew away!  (Always use caution handling wild animals)
