Radar Ridge Project

Interesting selection of reading materials and of course headed by the DNR survey (Independent Science Panel Review of Impacts to MMs from the Radar Ridge Project, dated July 7, 2009 ) is a non-science flawed report. It is bogus and started this whole mis-conception. The others except the testimony from my friend Bob Pyle, who wants to stay in good with the enviros to sell books, are just echos from the misinformed. Bob waffles around the issue in his lovely literary style.

What is missing ... well all the science. All the years of work. Hamer Envrionmental, collisionmode research, the FWS 5 year murrelet study, etc. What is the purpose of these groups ... what do they gain? I don't know and perhaps it might not be worth the grief dealing with these people.

Here are some of the key reports ... warning they are long and involved. I doubt that the folks from CRANE have read them .. they did not seem to include in their list. Also a little information on Carbon Dioxide and how we are messing up the oceans . .. ?Richard Feely is a noted researcher at NOAA and I have heard him speak on several occasions on this subject

Bird Habitat Conservation Plan

Washington is rich in our diversity of birds, and the diversity of habitats they depend upon. Audubon works statewide to protect and improve all habitats, from the marine waters to the Palouse grasslands, from the rainforests to the sagebrush desert. Audubon’s 25 local chapters provide strong grassroots bird advocacy in communities across the state.

Check out this site for more info: wa.audubon.org

Discovery Coast Audubon Society is very active in conserving habitat. Each piece of land that is
donated to this 501(c)3 chapter will be held in it's natural habitat for now and the future.

Anyone interested in volunteering with the Land Stewards please e mail them at bjarnog@willapabay.org
and for sure if you know of any land that can not be used for building anything on, please let them know.

Discussing this land venture is a topic discussed at each monthly meeting so you should attend to
keep up with it all. The monthly meetings are the second Monday nite of each month at 7 p.m. at the PUD auditorium on Sandridge.

If you are not a member yet you will find a membership form at the meetings or on this website.

See you soon!

If you have some volunteer time contact Patricia Cruse,
