Below are websites that coincide with the
interests and concerns of the Audubon Society. In addition
to furnishing up-to-date information, they also provide
quick and easy access to the signing of petitions, letters
etc. Most of these are directed to the President,
members of the US Congress, committee members, and administrators
of departments such as the EPA. Where appropriate, petitions
are also directed to proper state officials. These addresses will take you to the home
page of the organization. As in the case of the Audubon
Society, look for the "Take Action" section, which
you can click on to current issues. Once you have registered and signed a petition for the first time, you will be part of their newsletter network and you will then receive notification by e-mail when a petition is open for your signature. All it takes for you to send a petition after that is simply to type in your e-mail address, so replying to their newsletters and acting on the issues they present can be very easy and quick.
